Taylor Swift releases Eras tour book, plus new bonus version of 'Tortured Poets' on CD and vinyl
View Date:2024-12-24 04:25:59
Taylor Swift’s super-sized “The Tortured Poets Department” will finally be tangible.
The 31-song version of her 11th studio album, released this spring, has only been available in digital form.
But on Nov. 29, Swift will unveil “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology” on vinyl and CD, exclusively at Target. The new version will include four acoustic bonus songs, while the vinyl album includes a poster of Swift.
Also out that day – Black Friday – at Target is “Taylor Swift – The Eras Tour Book,” a 256-page book with 500 images, including performances photos (from every era of the show), rehearsal pictures and reflections written by Swift. The coffee-table style book likely will be a popular holiday gift for Swifties at $39.99.
"We'll be kicking off the final leg of The Eras Tour this week, which is hard to comprehend. This tour has been the most wondrous experience and I knew I wanted to commemorate the memories we made together in a special way," Swift wrote on her Instagram account announcing the book. It includes what she says are her "own personal reflections" of the tour.

Swift initially released 16-tracks of “The Tortured Poets Department,” but two hours after its arrival April 19 she dropped 15 additional songs, including “Thank You Aimee,” “The Black Dog” and “So High School” - her valentine to boyfriend Travis Kelce - to complete “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology.”

The album debuted atop the Billboard 200 and continued its reign for 15 non-consecutive weeks. All 31 songs from “The Anthology” landed on the Billboard Hot 100, with songs occupying the top 14 simultaneously for the first time in chart history.
Swift earned a couple of traditional blockbusters with the worldwide chart success of singles “Fortnight,” with Post Malone, and the most riveting song on “TTPD,” the psychological electro-pop gem, “I Can Do it With a Broken Heart.”

In May, Swift tweaked her colossal live show to include songs from her current album, inserting her two hits as well as “But Daddy I Love Him,” “Down Bad” and “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” among others. She’s been on a two-month break from her record-setting Eras Tour, but resumes the production Friday in Miami.
The tour, which began in March 2023, will also play New Orleans, Indianapolis and Toronto before wrapping with a three-night stand in Vancouver Dec. 6-8, a few days before Swift celebrates her 35th birthday.
